about

Hatchet goes out to Bob. He should know that, but I turn the glass toward myself and start telling him what was wrong with me the whole time. Being in a band is scary as hell sometimes. I just wish I kept my mouth shut and kept playing for those two long years of "getting out of it."
The essence of this band is rooted in mean spirits, being a poor sport about things and erecting a giant middle finger pointed at god. But, I am writing these things so you can help us survive. Survival never goes out os style right? right? right? (Jawbreaker before right).
Anyway, the song was meant to be called "sorry sorry sorry, kids game" but it was titled an apology of sorts, what you do when you "bury the hatchet" and lastly, this is not a song about ICP. Sorry juggalos and jugglettes, I have no issue with them, some of my friends are into it and I say: hell yea they are.

lyrics

Dear my friend,
This is the last song I will ever write with you in mind. Because vengeance is bitter-sweet, recompense falls underneath, and these lines end in the trash cans of my mind. I wonder if I am the one who's lost it after all. Football season's over or at least that's what I thought. I've had the time to let it simmer, boil and burn. And the stand-up cynics of our time only made me laugh the first time around. Just like old trio songs, I've played them all out. Tired hairlines on scratched vinyl records. I've made up my mind to never settle down. I am formed, fleshed, maxed out; like my undergrad loans and graduate receipts.
Now I lose sleep at night with concern for my rent. And I look back on panic attacks with warm sentiment. And I'd undo the past if it meant that I could do it all again, and dear my friend, my dearest friend.
